Nashville, Tennessee-based plastic and reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Alton Ingram, focuses his practice on all cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, except craniofacial. He is an alumnus of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, where he obtained his medical degree and completed his residencies in general and plastic surgery. Prior to his years in medical school, he attended Yale University where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and Philosophy, graduating Summa Cum Laude.

Alton Ingram, MD, took postgraduate fellowships at Centro de Estuidas Ivo Pitanguy, Rio de Janeiro; the University of Paris, France; Baptist Hospital, Nashville; Mount Sinai Medical Center, Miami Beach Florida, and Clinica Alemana, Santiago, Chile. He had worked with non-profit organizations such as Doctors Without Borders, Habitat for Humanity, Operation Smile, and the Viennese Opera Ball of New York City, where he was a member of the Benefits Committee. He is currently with the American Medical Association, Tennessee Medical Association, and American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.

On top of his medical career, Dr. Alton Ingram attended University of California Berkeley, where he obtained his Juris Doctorate. He has published articles in peer-reviewed journals on human anatomy, medical devices, surgical techniques, finance, and law.
